our vision

We face complex challenges such as the corona plague, global warming, dwindling drinking water and food supplies, extreme weather events that have increased in frequency in recent years and more. Dealing with these challenges requires a combination of knowledge from a number of areas.

We want to encourage you students to be "integrative thinkers", see the whole picture and expand, examine different positions and compare findings from different fields to deal with the challenges that life poses to us.

We believe that the integrative literature and science workshops will help you become an 'integrative thinker'.

We chose to combine literature and science because studies show that these areas are important for the personal and academic development of learners. Literature and science arouse curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking and lead to achievement.

Charles Percival Snow, an English physicist and author, argued that in Western culture literary intellectuals are at one pole, and scientific intellectuals are at another pole. He believes that  there are two cultures, the "culture of literature" and the "culture of science."

Snow did a lot to close the gap between the two cultures and called for the establishment of the "third culture" that unites the cultures.

We chose the "third culture" that combines the culture of literature and the culture of science.
